Dream Theater is celebrating 40 years and going strong! With Mike Portnoy back behind the kit, a new album Parasomnia out now, and a massive tour underway, there’s no shortage of excitement in the Dream Theater camp.
This weekend, James LaBrie joins me to talk about:
* The band’s evolution with Portnoy’s return—how the energy, setlists, and fan reactions have shaped this chapter.
*The themes behind Parasomnia and the creative process of weaving together a record inspired by sleep disturbances.
*Reflecting on 40 years of Dream Theater—the biggest changes, the constants, and his personal highlights from their journey.
*The state of prog metal today, the next generation of innovators, and what’s on his creative bucket list.
Dream Theater is on tour now, and Parasomnia is available everywhere!
